DREAM LAND DAPOLI with GUHAGAR
(2 Nights / 3 Days)
Day 1: Early morning departure from a convenient location or your doorstep. Stop for breakfast at Nagothane, the gateway to the Alphonso Belt. Check-in and rest . The rest of the evening at leisure. (BLED*)
Day 2: Have Breakfast and proceed to Guhagar in a ferry. On route visit Chandika Temple, is located around 15 KM north of Guhagar. One has to travel to Veldoor ( 10 KM away from Guhagar) and cross the Dabhol creek by launch to reach Harbor Dabhol on the north side. From Dabhol the Chandika Mandir approach road is around 4 KM when travelling towards Dapoli. The temple is 15-20 feet under ground in a cave. Electricity is forbidden inside and hence only source of lighting is lamps and candles lit. The idol of Goddess Chandika is swayambhoo (self-borne) and supposed to be from the ages of Pandava. However, it was discovered only 300 years back. Outside the temple is a tomb of the discoverer of this temple. Also visit Hedvi Temple, at approximately 27 km along Guhagar-Narvan road, towards south of Guhagar. This small village is yet another popular location around Guhagar that boasts of 2 places worth seeing. Most famous is theTemple of Dashabhuja (10 Hands) Ganapati. This temple dates back to age of Peshwas. The idol of  Lord Ganesha is carved in marble and is supposed to be from Jammu-Kashmir. The temple is recently renovated and is very clean. Also visit Velneshwar Temple, has a beautiful beach and an Ancient Shankar Temple. The Temple complex has three four different temples and the secluded beach behind the temple is very beautiful and clean. In the evening return to Dapoli. (BLED*)

Day 3: Awake early morning for a traditional breakfast before leaving to Keshavraj Temple, Shree Keshavraj temple is located amidst lush green land, a perennial stream and rolling hills and take a 15 minute trek through coconut, betel nut, mango and cashew trees to reach here. The natural spring originates at the hill top and flows down to the front of the temple supplying water to the stone carved cow mouth (Gomukh) throughout the year. The surroundings are calm and tranquil interrupted only by the harmonious chirping of birds. After Lunch proceed towards Mumbai. (BLED*)
