Dahanu Beach and Bordi Beach
Dahanu is a coastal city situated in Thane District. The prime tourist attraction in Dahanu is Dahanu-Bordi Beach. This famous beach is situated about 145 km away from Mumbai. It is a 17 km stretch along the sea coast. The Dahanu-Bordi beach is famous for its chikoo orchards. Dahanu Bordi Beach is also famous as a religious abode for the Zoroastrians with has a large, beautiful temple that houses their sacred fire. Bordi is half-hours drive away from Dahanu. Although, it is quite warm during the summers but, the gentle breeze cools down the entire beach.
