Jawhar Hillstation
Jawhar hill station is in Thane district of Maharashtra. It is gifted with exotic valleys, thick rich forests and pleasant climate. Jawhar is famous for its lively Warli paintings. Jawhar is also known as the Mahabaleshwar of Thane District. Jawhar is located at a distance of about 80 km from Nasik and 180 km from Mumbai. Some of the tourist attractions in and around Jawhar are Jai Vilas Palace, Bhupatghad Fort, water falls of Dadar-Kopra and Palusa, Hanuman and Sunset Points and Shirpamal. Nearest airport to Jawhar is is Mumbai and the nearest railway station is Igatpuri, 61 kms on Central Railway but Nashik is a more convenient.

Jawhar Waterfall
Jawhar Water fall is one of the highest waterfalls in Maharashtra. The waterfall cascades into the crater shaped bowl and the lake at the bottom of the waterfall is a wonderful sight. Activities which are available at Jawhar Waterfall are rappelling, valley Crossing, Trekking, kayaking and cliff jumping. The surroundings of the waterfall are densely forested and it offers a serene location for seclusion seeking travelers.




Malshej Ghat
Malshej Ghat is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats. There are several waterfalls at Malshej Ghats and the greenery here is awesome particularly during the monsoons. . It is at a distance of 154 km from south Mumbai and 130 kms from Pune. Malshej Ghat is of great interest for hikers, trekkers and adventure lovers. Close to Malshej Ghat is located Shivneri Fort, which is the birthplace of the legendary Shivaji.
